STEP 18 - DIY SUGAR SCRUB CUBES

broken image

Speaking of excellent Christmas gifts for the beauty enthusiast on your list, try these sugar scrubs! They are great for exfoliating the skin and helping to moisturize dry skin. This recipe allows you to use just the right amount without exposing the rest to excess moisture while in the tub or shower!

SUGAR SCRUB CUBES

• 1/4 cup carrier oil of choice

• 1/2 cup Shredded Soap (glycerin soap base works well)

• 3–4 drops of your favorite Essential Oil

• 1 cup Sugar

Pour the oil into a bowl and add the shredded soap of your choice. Microwave this on high for 10 second intervals, stirring in between each. Or use the double boiler method. When the mixture is melted and stirred together, add the Essential Oils. Once the sugar is added, the scrub will harden VERY quickly, so you will want to get the mixture into the mold as soon as possible. Let cubes harden by popping them into the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Remove them from the mold (if your mold is large, you may want to cut into smaller pieces). Store in an airtight container.
